The Best Snacks to Take on a Road Trip

I just went on a 20-hour road trip and it wasn’t as bad as I anticipated. Music was a big part of the trip being tolerable, but another thing that got me through those grueling long hours was some delicious snacks. There are several options out there when it comes to snacks to pack on your road trip, but from my experience, these were the most satisfying.

Cheez-It

Cheez-Its
You can never go wrong with the cheesy goodness of Cheez-Its. They come in conveniently mini bags or boxes and right now you can score some fun Star Wars themed ones. They always are tasty and always satisfy when I am hungry. Plus, as crazy as it sounds, they somehow go great with water so you don’t need anything else to drink when munching on them.

Pringles
Another crunchy snack that is always a must on a road trip is Pringles. They have quite a bit of flavors, but my favorite flavors are sour cream and onion and barbeque. You can find them in these mini size cans so you don’t need to get the large can and overeat. They are delicious and are not as messy as other chips.

Jolly Ranchers
Every single jolly rancher flavor is yummy and they really help pass the time when riding in the car. They are similar to suckers, but are easier to snack on. I don’t know why, but they are also a lot of fun to eat and you only need to have a couple every few hours to satisfy you, which mean you won’t be eating too much sugar.

Sour Worms
I always love sour worms, but they always taste better when eating them on a road trip. There are a variety of different kinds, but you can never go wrong with any of the store’s local brand. They are a little messy with all the sugar on them, but they are a great snack to munch on while on the road trip.

Hey, I didn’t say they were healthy snacks! When going on a road trip, why not splurge once in a while?
