Our Top Trend Choices for 2018

Like we said, we’ve poured over the newest styles, the old favorites, and every wedding dress we could get our hands on to bring you the hottest trends of 2018, and now, we’ve got the list you’re looking for!

Cap Sleeves are Here (So is Off the shoulder)

We know it’s hard to look at pictures from the 80s with the giant puffy sleeves – but this trend is back with a much slimmer, sleeker style. Cap sleeves – also called arm warmers – provide the perfect soft and sexy snapshot of your shoulders, while still keeping your arms covered, warm, and elegant. “Cap sleeves and off-the-shoulder are making huge comebacks in the fashion game this year,” said JJ’sHouse designer Jessica. “They’re all over the runway, especially at Fashion Week, and you can expect to see them all over this wedding season.”

High-Low Hemlines Rule

From tea-length to full-length, the high-low hemline is in, and it’s probably here to stay (for a while, at least). Designers are adding in gorgeous, cascading hemlines that start high and flow down to the ground (or to mid-calf). What does JJ’sHouse designer think of this new trend? “It’s a playful, flirty design you can expect to see in 2018 – especially during the Fall,” she said. “Brides who want to take risks and move away from a classic look will certainly be sporting this trend!”

Ball Gowns are Back

The drama and elegance of the ball gown is back, and according to Jessica, it’s better than ever. Designers featured ballgown wedding dresses all throughout fashion week, bringing in dramatic looks, romantic designs, and modern-twists on the classic back into the mix. “You can’t go wrong with a ball gown,” said Jessica, “especially with the innovative designs we’ve been seeing for the 2018 season.”

Satin Fabric

Forget stuffy crinoline, eyelash lace, and puffy fabrics – satin is in and it’s softer – and more beautiful – than ever. This 2018 trend is an epic win, not just for style, but for comfort, too! “Brides everywhere are going to thank designers for this 2018 trend,” Jessica Said. “How could you not love slipping into a satin masterpiece on your special day? You’ll look great, but you’ll feel great, too!”
