Jon & Vinny’s serves some of the best Italian-American comfort food in the city. They actually are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant bakes everything in house and their breakfast is full of some fresh delicious meals. The stone-ground porridge is served with sweet strawberries, toasted almonds, orange blossom honey and with the choice of either almond or cow’s milk. One of the most popular dishes is the breakfast pizza that has buttery potatoes seasoned with olive oil, Parmesan and rosemary and served on a crust that is tasty and chewy. Plus, Jon & Vinny’s has an impressive pastry case that offers honey date scones and banana bread.

Salt’s Cure

Salt’s Cure is a local favorite and all dishes are made with ingredients that are sourced from California. Every morning they change their breakfast menu, but everything is always delicious. Some meals that are served at Salt’s Cure include the 2x2x2, which is two eggs, two bacon slices and two sausage patties in an oatmeal girdle cake. Salt’s Cure is located on Santa Monica Boulevard and has a great atmosphere along with great breakfast.

Farmshop

Farmshop is a luxurious breakfast spot that serves up some classic breakfast dishes with a twist. The French toast has whipped crème fraishe, bacon and pistachios. It has been said to be the best French toast around. All of the eggs served at Farmshop are treated with care and coddled. The scrambled eggs are made perfectly and are light and fluffy. You may see some expensive prices on the menu, but you are paying for the quality of the food. It is a treat to get breakfast at Farmshop, but it is definitely worth it.

Huckleberry

Huckleberry is always crowd, but for good reason. I would still recommend to maybe plan ahead on the weekends or even get your order to-go. The restaurant serves up the best green eggs and ham on the West Coast along with other delicious breakfast meals. They also have brisket hash which is something everyone must try at least once. The pastry case is always filled with sweet treats like scones, croissants and the most decadent doughnuts.
